As a school, we work towards creating an environment that is inclusive, respectful and opinion driven. As children grow it becomes important to give them space and opportunity to explore and delve into life situations. Giving them space, to make mistakes, questioning on confusions and guidance to help them get out of the various confusing situations they encounter as they cascade through school life.

For this, a school imparts knowledge to children, develops their skills, instils in them sound values, and nurtures their curiosity for lifelong learning. It sets the context for their future learning and prepares them to be self-motivated and self-directed learners. It also shapes their physical and mental health and provides them with the environment for holistic development and well-being.

As I reflect on my decades long journey of being an educationist and Shikhar School, the many milestones that we have crossed, we have every reason to feel that we have always put in our heart and soul to accomplish our mission in ways that are purposeful and meaningful. The guiding principles and the educational ethos on which we founded Shikhar have always informed and inspired us to steer this institution of learning to the highest standards of excellence in everything we aspired for and accomplished.
